8 APC NetworkAIR CM Series: Standard Features
Electric reheat The electrical resistance heater is sized to offset the sensible cooling capacity
in the dehumidification mode. The reheat elements are low watt density
finned tubular on the 1 to 1.5 ton systems. Open coil resistance type are used
on the 2 to 5 ton systems. Reheat elements are electrically and thermally
protected.
Refrigeration system
and compressor
The refrigeration system consists of a single hermetic compressor, externally-
equalized expansion valve, filter-dryer, high pressure switch, refrigerant sight
glass, and moisture indicator.
Cooling coil The CM utilizes a one piece evaporator coil constructed of seamless copper
tubes and aluminum fins, mounted in a stainless steel drain pan.
Condenser The 1 to 3 ton systems utilize a coaxial tube in tube, convoluted multi-lead
inner tube design. The 4 and 5 ton models employ a brazed plate condenser
that uses the latest heat transfer technology. Type 316L stainless plates are
brazed together in a vacuum furnace and comply with ASME pressure vessel
code.
Air filter The filtration of conditioned air is extremely vital to maintain the clean,
particle-free environment required by the electrical equipment. The CM
series uses 30% efficient 1" deep filters, with full depth filter pleats. Filters
are easily replaced on all CM model configurations.
Water-regulating
valves
The water- and glycol-cooled systems maintain proper performance by
sensing refrigerant discharge pressure and regulating the amount of water or
glycol supplied to the condenser. Two-way and three-way valves are
available. The standard valve pressure rating is 150 psi (1030 kPa).
